The An Lab uses cutting-edge neuroimaging technologies, including OPM-MEG, MEG, and EEG, to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying sensory, motor, cognitive, and emotional processes. Our research spans infancy, childhood, and adulthood, with a particular focus on early brain development and neurodevelopmental disorders.

July 2026: Kyungmin has been awarded the Royal Society International Exchanges Grant. This funding will support international academic exchange and research partnership with Dr. Margot Taylor’s team at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, establishing a foundation for future collaboration.
July, 2026: Kyungmin gave an invited talk at FLUX Toolkit 2026 | Neuronal Oscillation at Oxford University.

April 2026: Kyungmin visited KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) and Misistry of Health and Welfare, The Government of the Republic of Korea. Kyungmin gave several invited talks at Seoul National University College of Medicine, Busan national University, and KRISS (Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science).
March 2026: Luke Coen, Anjli Lathia, Nadia Majeed, Zakiyyah Wali, and Aishwarya Lutchman Singh presented their research at the University of Birmingham School of Psychology Poster Event. Well done, everyone!
January 2026: Prof. Yuko Yoshimura, Prof. Takashi Ikeda (Kanazawa University, Japan), and Prof. Koichi Yokosawa (Hokkaido University, Japan) visited our lab to discuss OPM-MEG and paediatric research. As an adviser on their planned OPM-MEG system purchase, I accompanied them to Cerca, a leading OPM-MEG company based in Nottingham, where we toured the system, conducted a short demonstration experiment, and held technical discussions with the Cerca team.
