Professional Life
I am currently the Literacy Coach at Pomaria-Garmany Elementary. My role at PGE is to help provide teachers with professional development on the implementation of research based best practices to create high-progress literacy classrooms. Before my role as Literacy Coach I was a former third grade teacher, fourth grade teacher, and fifth grade teacher. I was in the classroom for ten years before transitioning into my Literacy Coach role.

I am married to Chris Milstead. He and I have three children together, whose names are Anna Marie, Christy, and Landon. We live in the city of Pomaria and attend St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. We enjoy doing many things together such as visiting Edisto Beach each year, watching our children play sports, and watching Christy dance competitively with Griffin School of Dance. We have one cat named Kate, and three fish. We love our small town life!
