Amy Leonard first became interested in Homeopathy in the 1980’s when her family was young and growing. She is the mother of five. She began her formal homeopathic education at Teleosis School of Homeopathy in 2007, and opened her practice in Rhode Island in 2012. She has also studied Shamanic healing, Hypnotherapy, and Chinese face reading.
Prior to those studies her professional life centered around maternal and child health. She was the Executive Director of the Rhode Island Rape Crisis Center in its earliest iteration, and a founding member of the Rhode island Women’s Health Collective. In the early 1980’s she and a friend founded the first Doula service in Rhode Island, Hearts and Hands Birthing Network, they were the first VBAC doulas. She has also worked with survivors of Domestic Abuse, adults and children, and has been a counselor in High Schools, predominately with adolescents who have experienced trauma.
Amy has lived in rhode Island for her entire adult life, and has an extensive network of complementary practitioners, physicians, and therapists that she works with and can refer to if needed.
