Data+ 2022

In this 10-week interdisciplinary data science research program, I explored the ethical, economic, and medical language surrounding tobacco and opium from 1580 to 1641 with three other teammates. I focused on the close reading of sermons, the extraction and cleaning of metadata, and the production of networks linking authors by shared language regarding these two intoxicants.
