2016 – 2017 Chief of Party, USAID Nurture, Save the Children, Lao PDR
Provided technical leadership and overall management of USAID Nurture, a $5.5m integrated nutrition and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) project aimed at reducing chronic malnutrition among young children in Lao PDR. Served as Alive & Thrive in-country focal person, advocating for policy change, and supporting uptake of Alive & Thrive’s experience, tools and materials.
2012 – 2016 Associate Director, FHI 360, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Infectious Disease Portfolio: Responsible for the technical, programmatic, financial and administrative aspects of FHI 360’s disease prevention portfolio in Cambodia. Led efforts to protect and promote the health of key target groups through technical leadership, innovation, and oversight. Led development of program strategies, work plans, project reports, and development of journal and conference submissions profiling FHI 360’s work, and supervised and mentored international and national staff to ensure quality technical assistance and oversight in FHI 360 supported sites.
Nutrition Portfolio: Served as Alive and Thrive representative in Cambodia and Lao PDR, and provided technical assistance in nutrition research and communications across South East Asia. Global/Asia Regional Portfolio: Provided technical assistance and contributed to business development efforts.
2010 – 2012 Regional HIV/AIDS Specialist, UNICEF Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, Panama City, Panama
Provided technical advisory services to 24 UNICEF country offices and partners throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on the design and implementation of effective HIV prevention, care, support, and impact mitigation and SBCC programs and policies for young people.
2008 – 2010 Technical Advisor, FHI 360, Gaborone, Botswana
Designed and led efforts to influence social norms, behaviors, and gender expectations to improve the health of Batswana youth. Developed strategies and tools, including SBCC, educational materials, and training curricula in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, care and support, gender dynamics, intergenerational sex, and parent-child communication.

Defined, secured resources for, and ensured the technical excellence of programming in sexual and reproductive health (including family planning and STIs), maternal, neonatal, and child health (including nutrition and immunization), HIV/AIDS, and education (early childhood development). Managed multi-million-dollar portfolio of grants from USAID’s Child Survival program, USAID-PEPFAR, Atlantic Philanthropies, and private foundations, and supervised senior health, HIV/AIDS, and education staff.
1999 – 2005 Adolescent & Youth Health Advisor, Save the Children, Westport, Connecticut (1999- 2003); Hanoi, Vietnam (2003-2005)
Managed and set strategic direction for Save the Children’s multi-million-dollar global adolescent and youth health program, including activities related to sexual and reproductive health, safe motherhood, hygiene, and HIV prevention, care and support for at-risk youth, young mothers, and general adolescent and youth populations. Built technical and policy advisory capacity of and provided technical assistance to field staff in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to address social and gender norms affecting health, design and implement SBCC strategies, and to monitor and evaluate outcomes related to improved behaviors and access to services.
1997 – 1999 Reproductive Health & Gender Specialist, World Wildlife Fund, Washington, DC
Designed and managed WWF's Women and Conservation Initiative, providing small grants to women-led livelihood activities, and conducted gender assessments and analyses. Provided technical assistance to field offices and partners to develop, implement and evaluate gender-transformative policies, and programs.
