Amy Weissman, DrPH, Deputy Regional Director & Technical Director, Asia Pacific at FHI 360

Amy Weissman, DrPH, with more than 20 years of experience designing, implementing and evaluating public health policies and programs, is FHI 360’s Deputy Regional Director & Technical Director for the Asia Pacific region. Dr. Weissman has extensive experience applying global evidence to design, implementation and scaling up results-oriented programming adapted to local contexts in the areas of maternal, neonatal, adolescent and child health (MNCAH) and nutrition; HIV/AIDS; sexual and reproductive health; and population, health and environment. She has an exceptional track record in ensuring technical quality, building capacity of staff and partners and providing technical assistance in social and behavior change (SBC); program design, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E); and formative, qualitative and participatory action research methods. Dr. Weissman is skilled in strategic planning and review, supporting national policy development, and new business development. She has served as primary liaison with key donors in multiple settings, including USAID, PEPFAR, US CDC, GFATM, EU, UCSF/NIH and DFAT. Dr. Weissman has authored multiple publications, including peer-reviewed articles and behavior change communication and M&E tools, qualitative studies, proposals, and reports. She has a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, is a native English speaker, and fluent in Spanish.
