Research

My primary interests are broadly in functional analysis. I am currently interested in structural properties of operators and their spectral decompositions, particularly operators in finite von Neumann algebras which arise from free probability / random matrix theory.  I have also dabbled in harmonic analysis on non-commutative Lp spaces.

I also have secondary interests in applied mathematics, particularly uncertainty quantification and statistical learning. I work with experimentalists (cytometrists and forensic scientists) to model data and solve problems.
