1.  Screencastify.com - Select 'Add to Chrome' & Follow Steps to Add Extension

2. Access the app from your Chrome Extension toolbar or use the shortcut ALT+Shift+ S to start it

3. Enable web cam and microphone

4. Select record, and choose window or screen (screen will not allow you to jump around).

5. Try out all of the annotation tools.

6. End Recording.  

Try it!  - Edit & Share!

1. Click to Unmute

2. Open Editor

3. Copy Share Link

4. Share to Mail, Classroom or QR Code

5. Active Viewers

6. Add Interactive Questions

7. Export as an MP4 or GIF

8. Save to Google Drive

Create Lessons from Scratch

1.  Create>Lesson

2. Name the Lesson, select standard, grade & topic

3. Start with an oening slide to introduce the lesson.

4. Add Content in CREATE section

Launch Lessons

1.  Hover over lesson to launch

2. Select LIVE or Student Paced

3. If student paced you can post link and students can log in

4. If LIVE, students go to join.nearpod.com and enter the code (or provide link)

Set Up your Flip Acount

1. Go to info.flip.com and log in.

2. At the top right, click Signup.

3. Enter your date of birth, and country or region. 

4. Choose Sign Up (Google).

5. Select the school email to use with this account.

6. Create Account

Create a Group

1. Go to info.flip.com and log in.

2. At the left, click + Group > Create a group.  

3. Select Grade/Age Level

4. Name  the gruop and modify the theme.

5. Select  'Create'.  

6. Choose how to share your group. - Share Link?  Invite by Classroom?

   1. Note:  If students do not have emails you can create usernames.

Once your group is created, select the X to continue working.

Create a Topic in a Group

Note:  There are three default topics in the group that you can modify & use or delete.  

1.  Select +Add Topic to add your own topic OR

2.  Searching the Discovery Library and add any topic.

Try it!  

1.  Make your Book Creator Account

2.   Go to Teach Your First Lesson and first READ the book

3.  Go Back to Teach Your First Lesson   & Select 'REMIX THIS BOOK!'

4. Copy the Book to your Library and 'Go to Library'

5. Locate the 'Grade Level' you teach and click on the link to open the Book and Remix to your Library.

6. Open the student book and complete the activities as a student.

Set up your Canva Account

1.  Sign up here:  www.canva.com/education/

2. Select Teachers “Get Verified’  

3. Select ‘Get Started’

4. Enter your name & school

5. Add your school ID, Employment verification or certification to verify your account. 

6. It will take up to 7 days to get approved.

Note:  If a teacher adds a student to their Canva class they will get the EDU access.

Create a Class in Canva

1.  Select the settings

2. Billings & Teams

3. Create a new Class.

Access, Edit & Assign a Template  (i.e Dream Vacation)

1.  Select a template https://www.canva.com/templates/

2.  Edit the text, color, elements as desired.

3. Right click on any element to select 'lock' from the menu

4. Select Share in top right corner 

5. Select

   1. Collaboration Link - Class and copy link (view only, they make a copy)

   2. Assignment in Canva or Google Classroom (make due date!)

Note:  Students in Classroom will 'Use Template' and either turn in via LINK or if there is a due date they can select Share, Classroom and submit directing to the assignment.

Assign Work for Small Group Collaboration / Jigsaw

1. In your Class/Team Details, create the groups and add members.

2.  Select or Create a Template (ie - body systems Digestive Group C)

3. Select ‘Share>People with Access, SELECT THE GROUP 

4. Select can EDIT

Whole Class Collaboration - 

1.  Select or Create Template

2. Change Anyone with the Link can Edit

3. Post to Classroom and attach link
