I work as an Associate Professor at NIPFP. In my earlier years at NIPFP, I worked as an assistant professor and before that as a consultant in the macro-finance group. Prior to joining NIPFP, I was a teaching assistant in Economics at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and IIM Indore. I also worked as a UGC-SAP Research Fellow for sponsored research programs in areas of development and agriculture in Madhya Pradesh. I studied at the Symbiosis International University, Pune and later got a Ph.D in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. My thesis has three short readable essays on national accounts, game theory and shadow economy.
My research is in areas of national accounts statistics, GDP computation, public finance and macroeconomics. I work on agriculture related issues out of interest and also spend time researching at the National Statistical Systems Training Academy.
