Clemson, South Carolina is conveniently located between Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina and is only 12 miles from Interstate 85, making it readily accessible by car for people from instate and surrounding states such as North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama. In addition, there are 3 major airports in the area: Greenville–Spartanburg International (GSP) - about 45 miles northeast of Clemson with nonstop flights from Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Washington DC, and many other cities, Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) in Charlotte, NC - about 127 miles northeast of Clemson, and Hartsfield-Jackson International (ATL) in Atlanta, GA - about 133 miles southwest of Clemson.

Getting from GSP airport to Clemson:

We recommend the following options for getting from GSP airport to Clemson:

1. Uber/Lyft: Estimated rates range from $80 - $120. To ensure availability, we recommend making reservations in advance.

2. Shuttle: The Airport Shuttle (phone 1-864-295-4098) is the only shuttle service provider between GSP airport and Clemson University. To make reservations, please call the number above and provide your flight numbers, arrival and departure dates and times, and a US phone number for contact. Group reservations may qualify for a discounted rate. The shuttle service rates are $105 (cash) or $115 (credit card) or $140 (cash) /$150 (credit card) if outside the 6am-11pm time window.

3. Rent a car: This is probably the most convenient option

Renting a car is probably the most convenient option for those traveling from ATL or CLT to Clemson. There are other options like Uber/Lyft but prices will vary, we recommend making reservations in advance.
