Each Thursday 9-11am the class will switch to "Blackboard Workshop" in PS2 212
You will be given chalk, eraser and a printed worksheet with problems to work through in groups of 2-3, writing and discussing together standing at the boards around the room.
The worksheets are a surprise, we won't post them here until after the workshop (you can use later for review). They will contain new material as well as consolidate what we have learned so far in the lectures. It is essential that you attend and fully participate, don't be afraid to write on the board and correct each other. You are not presenting to the whole class, just working like real mathematicians do, standing around boards writing and arguing and rewriting.
You may not get through the whole sheet. Ask for help if you are stuck, either by checking what another group did and asking them, or asking one of the lectures floating around.
We hope these sessions are fun and useful for learning.
