Telegram is AMS' official communication channel for the school year 2025-2026.
Every project must have:
A Telegram topic for each committee (e.g.,Programs, Logistics, Secretariat, etc.)
Additional topics for:
General: The go-to space for casual conversation, team bonding, icebreakers, and general coordination across committees. Keep the vibes light but respectful!
Announcements: A dedicated space for official project updates, major deadlines, and time-sensitive reminders.
Important Links: Serves as the centralized hub for all essential documents: folders, trackers, minutes folder, and other key references. Keep this channel updated and organized.
Weekly Updates: A thread for committee heads to report progress, blockers, and upcoming tasks every week. Helps the PHs and DHs monitor the project's pace and provide support where needed.
ExeCom: This will be the space where ExeCom members can raise their concerns or communicate with the core team.
Include the following members in the Telegram Group:
All core team members
Project Heads
Overseeing Department Heads or Office Heads
AMS Top 5
President (@chrislynann)
Internals Vice President (@vdang02)
Externals Vice President (@katserafica)
Secretary-General (@dgdalgenio)
Chief Finance Officer (@dlg1014)
To access the Telegram accounts of other ExeCom members, kindly refer to the ExeCom page.
đź’¬ While Telegram is the official channel, it is still recommended to maintain a Messenger GC for your Core Team for quicker announcements and informal coordination.
This system can be used to inform the entire Core Team of pertinent updates regarding their committee and its deliverables, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout. Updates are recommended to be sent on a weekly basis, every Friday from 6-8 PM.
For major projects, it is highly recommended that you implement this system. The recommended template for every update message is provided below:

To keep our spaces respectful, productive, and inclusive, here are a few simple reminders for communicating within the team:
Be Clear and Considerate
If you’re referring to a previous message or document, reference it directly.
Consider tone—written messages don’t show facial expressions or tone of voice, so be extra mindful.
Respect Time and Boundaries
Unless otherwise agreed upon, refrain from sending messages past 10:00 PM or during rest days.
If urgent, you may start your message with “‼️ Time-sensitive” or “⏳ Deadline approaching.”
Set deadlines before weekends or breaks when possible to avoid last-minute work.
If you must send a message late, consider scheduling it or preface that a reply can come in during working hours.
Acknowledge Messages
Use reactions or brief replies to confirm that you’ve read and understood a message.
Avoid ghosting messages. Even a quick acknowledgment helps keep everyone aligned.
Tag with Purpose
Tag only the people directly responsible for a task or decision.
Don’t tag everyone unless the update requires group attention.
Avoid excessive tagging in follow-ups.
Stay Professional and Kind
Speak with respect and empathy, especially when resolving issues or requesting revisions.
Give credit to teammates for their work and acknowledge contributions often.
In any collaborative environment, it’s natural for concerns and differences to arise. What matters most is how we respond—with openness, respect, and accountability.
Address Concerns Early
Don’t let issues simmer. If something feels off, clarify and communicate as early as possible.
Assume good faith, but don’t hesitate to speak up if boundaries are crossed or if tasks are unclear.
Follow the Chain of Communication
Core Team Member → Project Head → Overseeing ExeCom → Internals Vice President/President
Always try to resolve matters first within your committee or project team before escalating.
Private and Respectful Conversations
Keep feedback constructive and focused on actions, not personalities.
Avoid confronting issues in public group chats. Opt for private messages or scheduled Individual Consultations.
Handle with Care and Empathy
We’re all balancing multiple commitments. Approach each other with kindness, understanding, and the goal of growing together.
