As a Hausdorff fellow, I worked in the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, University of Bonn, till 2022, in the group of Prof. Dr. Barbara Niethammer and Prof. Dr. Juan J.L. Velázquez.
Prior to that, I was a Postdoc in the group of Prof. Šárka Nečasová at the Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, in 2019.
I did my PhD (2018) from the University of Pau, France, in cotutelle with the University of Basque Country, Bilbao, under the supervision of Prof. Chérif Amrouche and Prof. Miguel Escobedo.
Before that, I obtained a Masters degree (2014) and Masters of Philosophy (2015) from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research - Centre for Applicable Mathematics, India. I have finished my Bachelor degree (2012) from Presidency College, Kolkata (now Presidency University).
One of my motto in life is to bridge the gap between the available opportunities in the society and the academically marginalized communities, especially when it comes to gender discrepancies. In this direction, I actively participate in various levels, from school children to the higher education, and in various forms, mentoring pupils, providing guidance and support for junior researchers etc.
Some of the engagements, I have been involved in the past are:
together with Arianna Giunti, organized the workshop "Young Women in Partial Differential Equations and Applications" at the University of Bonn on 20-22 September, 2021, designed to build support and outreach networks for young women in math across the globe.
worked with AIMS Cameroon in order to help under-privileged and to address under-representation of women in leadership roles, in particular in Mathematics.
