ICPC-2019 Online Round - October 18th Friday

Timings: 4:45 PM to 7:45 PM IST

Venue: AB2 CP Labs.

Programming Environment:

• Contest will be held over the Codechef platform.
• Programs are to be written in C, C++, Java or Python. The compilers are what you get by default on Codechef platform when you use the languages C, C++, Java, PYTH, PYTH 3.6 and PYPY.

Online Contest Rules:

• The contest will be conducted over the Internet.
• Teams whose registration formalities are completed are only eligible to participate in the contest.
• You are not allowed to discuss strategy, suggestions or tips in the comments with anyone other than contestants of your team during the contest. However, posting question or clarification to the contest manager to clarify the problem statement is allowed.
• Comments will be published only after the approval from the administrator during the contest.
• You can also send your queries by email at help@codechef.com or call at +91-22-61966343/ 61966396 during the contest.
• Contest problems will become visible on the contest landing page on CodeChef on Friday, 18 October, 2019 at 04:45 PM (IST).
• Organizing Institute will not be responsible in case any program does not work at our environment. So, try to use one of the mentioned compiler versions.
• Judges decision will be treated as final. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Submission Procedure:

To submit problems, you have to login to http://www.codechef.com with the team login id and password that will be/has been sent to you by email. You need to visit the contest page: https://www.codechef.com/ICPCIN19 .

Practice Contest:

You are required to participate in the practice round on 17th Oct 2018 at 4 PM IST to check if your credentials work. The practice round link:

Labs are arranged for student teams to take part in ICPC online round. Please use the facility so that you can avoid Wi-Fi disruptions in Hostels.

• Latest announcements regarding the events will be posted here.
• One single place for all study material and course slides for all the semesters.
• Each course will have only one standard set of slides and you can also find other technical slides under miscellaneous category. (Few semester subjects like Data structures and Algorithms are available already)
• All presentations and materials for Interview preparation can be found under Interview preparation tab.
• Lecture videos for few courses are already available and few more will be uploaded soon.
• We request students who have already participated in various Hackathons to make a video demonstration of their project and give us, so that we can publish here. Let the CSE student community know about your innovation.
• As we want to upload only one standard set of presentations for each course, this may take some time for preparation and to validate the content. So, we request you to please cooperate with us.

Note: Yes, we know we could have developed an Android application for this so that we can send push notifications to you but, we want it to be platform independent and also we don't want to spend time in developing UI, backend and its maintenance. We feel that this UI is good and smooth in all kinds of devices mobiles, tablets, laptops and it takes very minimal time for us to upload the content. Hope you understand.
