Please see below for current opportunities in:
1. Ph.D. programmes
2. Research internships
3. Postdoctoral research
The CatSyn Lab welcomes highly motivated Ph.D. candidates interested in interdisciplinary research involving photocatalysis, organic and inorganic synthesis, functional photocatalytic materials, mechanistic understanding, and sustainable chemical transformations.
Candidates possessing a valid CSIR–UGC JRF, GATE qualification, or another recognized national-level qualification or fellowship may email their CV to amreenbains@iitj.ac.in.
Applications for the IIT Jodhpur Ph.D. programme may be submitted throughout the year. Applications are normally processed twice annually, with cut-off dates of 20 April for Semester I and 20 October for Semester II.

Please note that contacting the PI does not replace the formal IIT Jodhpur application and selection process.
Short-term research internships may be available, particularly during May-June and December, subject to laboratory capacity and project availability.
Motivated B.Sc. and M.Sc. students interested in photocatalyst design, photoredox catalysis, organic and inorganic synthesis, mechanistic studies, and functional photocatalytic materials may email their CV to amreenbains@iitj.ac.in.
3. Postdoctoral Opportunities
Candidates interested in postdoctoral research in photoredox catalysis, electro-organic synthesis, catalyst design, and functional photocatalytic materials are encouraged to contact the PI.
Essential qualifications:
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, or a related field.
Strong experimental background in organic and/or inorganic synthesis, purification, and spectroscopic characterization using techniques such as NMR, IR, mass spectrometry, UV–Vis absorption, and fluorescence spectroscopy.
Previous experience in photoredox catalysis, electro-organic synthesis, mechanistic studies, or functional materials is desirable.
A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and the ability to conduct both independent and collaborative research.
Duration: As specified by the relevant project or fellowship.
Salary: As per IIT Jodhpur or funding-agency norms.
Interested candidates should email their CV, publication list, and a brief cover letter describing their research experience and interests to amreenbains@iitj.ac.in.
Postdoctoral appointments are subject to the availability of suitable project funding or an external postdoctoral fellowship.
