Local musician Freddy studied flute at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) for a year before moving forward to study flute more intensively privately with Kate Hill and Robert Manasse.

He met the pianist Samir Dookie at the RWCMD where they worked on various Chamber Music programmes together.
