Afghan Girls: Story of Resiliance 

Introduction to this publication 

In March 2025, we, Rokhsar and Rosita, launched an educational initiative titled Empowering Afghan Girls Through Education, with the generous support of the Global Campus of Human Rights and the Right Livelihood. The program was designed to provide guidance and practical tools to Afghan students through workshops, Duolingo English Test preparation, and a powerful essay-writing component.

As part of this initiative, approximately 26 students courageously shared their personal narratives—stories of resilience, struggle, and hope in the face of Afghanistan’s ongoing crisis. These essays are more than assignments; they are voices of a generation that refuses to give up on education despite immense adversity.

To honor the authenticity of these students' voices, we preserved the core of their stories and made only minimal edits for clarity and readability. This collection is both a reflection of their lived experiences and a testament to their unwavering commitment to learning.

We hope this booklet will inspire readers, raise awareness, and contribute to ongoing efforts to support the educational journeys of Afghan girls.
