Ample — Privacy Policy

Overview 

Ample: Fitness & Health Score ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal health and fitness app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we access, how it is used, and your rights. Ample does not require an account — there is no sign-up, and you do not provide us with a name, email, or password to use the app.

Health and Fitness Data

Ample requests access to Apple HealthKit to read health and fitness data including workouts, activity, sleep, heart rate, weight, and related metrics. This data is processed on your device to calculate your scores, charts, and insights. It is not transmitted to our servers and is not shared with any third party, and it is never used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing app functionality. Ample also includes an optional assistant, "Ask Ample," that answers questions about your data using Apple's on-device AI — your data is processed on your device and is not sent anywhere.

iCloud Sync 

Ample stores your data on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync (Settings → Data & Privacy), Ample also saves a copy to your own private Apple iCloud account so your information stays consistent across your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch and can be restored if you delete and reinstall the app. The data synced this way includes your profile and preferences, your Health Score and Readiness history, goals and achievements, and health-derived summaries computed from Apple Health — such as daily activity, sleep, and vitals figures, workout details (including average and maximum heart rate), and lifetime and personal-best records.

This information is stored only in your iCloud account, under Apple's control and your Apple ID. Ample operates no servers of its own: your health data is never transmitted to Ample's developers, never shared with any third party, and never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining. iCloud Sync is optional — you can turn it off at any time in Settings, and the app works fully without it using on-device storage.

Purchases 

Ample may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions. All transactions are processed entirely by Apple and we do not have access to your payment information.

Data We Do Not Collect 

We do not collect analytics, crash data, advertising identifiers, or any data beyond what is described above. We operate no servers and do not receive your personal or health information. We do not share your data with third parties.

Data Retention and Deletion 

You can erase Ample's data at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy within the app. Deleting the app removes all data stored on that device. If you have iCloud Sync enabled, erasing your data in the app also removes the synced copy from your iCloud account, and you can turn iCloud Sync off at any time.

Children's Privacy 

Ample is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy 

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
