If you want a lightweight, touch-controlled in-ear solution for general office or driving use, choose AMPACO Headset; if you need open-ear bone conduction technology with built-in MP3 storage for intense swimming and study sessions where situational awareness is critical, choose INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones.
• AMPACO Headset: Its greatest strength is the dual-wear design and IPX7 waterproof rating, making it versatile for sports and daily wear, but its trade-off is that it relies entirely on a connected device for audio since it lacks internal storage.
• INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones: The standout feature is the massive 32GB built-in storage combined with Bluetooth 5.4 and true IPX8 underwater capability, though the trade-off is the specific open-ear form factor which may not suit everyone's preference for isolation.
• Best For: Choose AMPACO for a compact, standard wireless experience; choose INDIVISO for serious aquatic athletes and students who need to hear their surroundings while listening.
The AMPACO Wireless Headset is designed with a pragmatic approach to everyday audio needs, focusing on versatility rather than niche performance. At just 0.3 kg, this unit prioritizes a lightweight feel that doesn't weigh down your head during long periods of wear. The design features a dual-wear style that allows users to adapt the headset to different situations, whether you are in an office setting, navigating traffic while driving, or engaging in business calls. This flexibility suggests a product built for the modern professional who moves between environments frequently without wanting to swap gear.
Water resistance is a core component of its utility, boasting an IPX7 rating. This level of protection means the earbuds can handle sweat, rain, and accidental splashes with ease, making them suitable for light outdoor activities or gym sessions. The control method relies on touch sensors, offering a seamless way to manage playback and calls without fumbling for buttons. If you are looking for a simple, no-frills wireless option that handles moisture well and fits comfortably for general work or driving, this model addresses those specific requirements directly.
It is important to note that while the AMPACO headset is robust, it does not offer internal media storage. You cannot load music directly onto the device; it requires a constant Bluetooth connection to a phone or computer. This makes it less ideal for runners who want to leave their phones behind or swimmers who need to operate independently underwater. For someone whose primary use case involves being tethered to a device for audio, the AMPACO offers a solid, reliable, and waterproof foundation.

The INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones take a completely different philosophical approach, targeting users who prioritize safety, immersion, and independence from their smartphones. The defining feature here is the 32GB built-in storage capacity, which allows you to store up to 9,000 songs directly on the device. This transforms the headphones into a standalone player, meaning you can swim laps or run a marathon without carrying a single piece of extra equipment. For a student looking for open ear earbuds for study who wants to disconnect from notifications but stay aware of their environment, this independence is a game-changer.
Waterproofing takes center stage with an IPX8 rating, allowing these headphones to withstand immersion up to three meters for extended periods. This isn't just splash-proof; it is built for submersion. Whether you are diving deep in a pool or caught in a heavy storm, the construction ensures complete protection against water damage. The open-ear design utilizes bone conduction drivers, transmitting sound through the cheekbone rather than plugging the ear canal. This keeps your ears clean and allows you to hear ambient sounds like traffic, people talking, or a ticking clock while you listen to your playlist. This is crucial for anyone who needs to remain alert while exercising or studying in shared spaces.
Battery life is another significant advantage for this model, delivering eight hours of continuous music or talk time on a single two-hour charge. With a standby time of 72 hours, you won't find yourself scrambling for power mid-week. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.4 technology ensures a stable connection up to 10.06 meters (approximately 33 feet) when paired with devices, supporting simultaneous connections to two devices for smooth switching. While the open-ear shape might feel unusual compared to traditional in-ear buds, the ergonomic hook design is engineered to stay secure even during vigorous movements like cycling or running. If your routine involves water sports or high-intensity training where safety and freedom from cables are paramount, this product is specifically engineered for that lifestyle.

• Best for General Office and Driving → AMPACO Headset. The AMPACO's compact, lightweight design and standard in-ear fit make it more suitable for quiet office environments or commuting where you want a familiar listening experience.
• Best for Situational Awareness → INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones. The open-ear bone conduction technology leaves your ear canal open, allowing you to hear your surroundings, which is vital for safety during outdoor runs or for students needing to hear instructors in a classroom.
• Best for Battery Independence → INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones. You can leave your phone at home and still carry thousands of songs thanks to the built-in MP3 mode, whereas the AMPACO requires a constant connection to a source device.
• Best for Minimalist Weight → AMPACO Headset. Weighing in at 0.3 kg, the AMPACO is extremely light, whereas the INDIVISO, while ergonomically balanced, has a slightly more substantial build due to the battery and driver components.
• Best for Water Sports Versatility → INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones. With its ability to handle submersion and its secure fit for running and cycling, it outperforms the AMPACO in extreme weather and aquatic conditions.
• Best for Simple Touch Controls → Both. Both models utilize touch controls, but the INDIVISO adds the complexity of switching modes between Bluetooth and MP3 storage, while the AMPACO offers a straightforward interface.
• Best for Multi-Device Switching → INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones. The Bluetooth 5.4 chip supports connecting to two devices simultaneously, allowing seamless transitions that the AMPACO's standard specifications do not explicitly highlight.
For my own setup, particularly when I need a pair of headphones dedicated to study sessions or active workouts, I would choose the INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones. The combination of IPX8 waterproofing and 32GB internal storage solves the biggest pain point of modern wireless audio: the anxiety of losing your phone or running out of battery while you are in the middle of something important. Being able to leave the phone behind and still have access to 9,000 songs, all while keeping my ears open to the world, makes it the superior choice for both serious athletes and focused learners. While the AMPACO is a capable, lightweight companion for casual listening, the INDIVISO offers a level of freedom and durability that simply cannot be matched by a standard in-ear design.
Yes, the INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones are excellent for studying because the open-ear design allows you to listen to music while remaining aware of your surroundings, preventing isolation. The AMPACO is also suitable for office study but requires you to keep your phone connected nearby.
Only the INDIVISO Bone Conduction Headphones are suitable for swimming. They feature an IPX8 waterproof rating that handles submersion up to 3 meters and include built-in storage to play music underwater without a phone. The AMPACO is IPX7 rated, which protects against sweat and rain but is not designed for full submersion.
No, you do not need a phone to use the INDIVISO headphones for music playback. The 32GB internal storage allows you to load songs directly onto the device and use it as a standalone MP3 player, though you will need a phone to transfer the files initially.
Both options are highly resistant to moisture, but the INDIVISO is technically superior for heavy sweating and immersion due to its IPX8 rating compared to the AMPACO's IPX7 rating. The INDIVISO's secure hook design also tends to stay in place better during high-intensity movement.
