Hi! I’m Alejandra Morenilla, a Valencia-based illustrator specializing in vector illustration.

My work has a colorful, playful and cute aesthetic, combining bold blocks of color with loose, hand-drawn touches. Influenced by classic cartoons, vintage aesthetics and Kawaii culture, I create expressive characters and charming little worlds, using colour, shape and atmosphere to give my illustrations their distinctive feel. My naturally positive outlook finds its way into my illustrations, giving them a cheerful and approachable personality.

Nature is one of my biggest sources of inspiration. I love taking long walks, observing trees, animals and people, and noticing the little details of life outdoors. I’m also a devoted cat lover, fascinated by their beauty and wonderfully distinctive personalities.

With over 12 years of professional experience, I’ve worked across editorial and commercial illustration. I’ve illustrated five children’s books for Penguin Random House and spent eight years creating graphic resources and vector illustrations for Freepik. I enjoy exploring how illustration can bring character to books, stationery, patterns and other creative products.

Outside my colorful world of illustration, I’m a rock and heavy metal fan with a soft spot for darker aesthetics, mysterious worlds and Halloween. I love that sweetness and darkness can coexist, and that inspiration can come from the most unexpected places.
