I am a Professor of Physics in the Department of Theoretical Physics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.
My Research is in Particle Physics / High Energy Physics, which aims to understand fundamental interactions of elementary particles. In particular, I work on
Neutrinos: Oscillation phenomenology, Supernova neutrinos, Astroparticle physics
Collider Physics: Heavy quarks, Charge-Parity violation, Physics beyond the Standard Model, Effective Field Theories
My regular physics discussions are with the Phenomenology@TIFR group that includes particle physicists, astroparticle physicists and cosmologists.
Many of the recent advances in fundamental science can be understood and appreciated by anyone. I am involved in giving many popular science talks and articles (in English as well as in Marathi).
