This masterclass, “Medicine Made for You: AI in Pharmacogenomics,” explores how AI-driven models leverage genetic information to enable personalized medicine, improving drug safety, efficacy, and dosing accuracy. It highlights the limitations of traditional pharmacogenomics and demonstrates how machine learning, multimodal data integration, and explainable AI can transform clinical decision-making. The session also presents real-world applications, global adoption trends, and ongoing research, emphasizing the role of AI in advancing precision medicine and patient-centered healthcare. Details of the speakers are given below,
This presentation explored the growing global waste crisis, highlighting the environmental, health, and economic impacts of current waste management practices, particularly landfills. It emphasized the urgent need for sustainable solutions, especially in regions like Qatar where unique challenges exist. The presentation showcased innovative approaches such as composting, IoT monitoring, machine learning, and deep learning models to improve waste classification and reduce environmental harm. It concluded by advocating for smart waste management systems, increased public awareness, and advanced technologies to create a more sustainable future.
A physics-informed visual twin model uses neural networks combined with real-world physical principles to simulate multiphase flow systems. For leak detection, this approach enables accurate monitoring and prediction of fluid behavior, allowing early identification of anomalies and leaks with improved reliability and reduced false alarms.
