Namaste and Welcome! I'm Dr.Amit Bhongade,an incoming postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, starting 1st October 2025. I completed my Ph.D. in department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi, India on 1st August 2025, where I conducted research at the Neuro-Computing Lab under the mentorship of Prof. Tapan K. Gandhi (IIT Delhi) and Prof. Prathosh AP (IISC Bangalore).
My research focuses on designing intelligent, data-driven systems aimed at improving the lives of patients with sleep disorders, particularly by leveraging advanced signal processing and machine learning techniques to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. I explore how these systems can detect, analyze, and interpret complex physiological signals to provide real-time insights, ultimately aiming to create more effective and personalized treatments.
Beyond sleep disorders, I have a strong interest in brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), which bridge the gap between the brain and external devices to aid individuals with physical or cognitive impairments. I’m also deeply involved in gait rehabilitation research, where I work on innovative technologies to help people regain mobility and improve motor functions. My work extends further into understanding and addressing challenges related to eye-movement disorders and autism spectrum disorders, exploring how cutting-edge technologies can provide early intervention and better support for those affected.
Feel free to explore my research, and don't hesitate to connect if you’d like to collaborate or learn more!
