Dr. Amitava Choudhury is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India, and his Master of Technology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He has over 12 years of experience in teaching and academic research. Dr. Choudhury's research expertise lies in computer vision, with a focused interest in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in materials research. He was awarded the 'Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence' (TARE) fellowship by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India, in 2022. He is also the recipient of the Gold Medal by the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) and Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) for the best paper in the ferrous category. Dr. Choudhury is an active member of IEEE and the Institution of Engineers (India). Despite a relatively short career span, he has published numerous research books and articles in indexed journals and conferences. He is associated with prestigious journals as a reviewer, including Scientific Report, IEEE Access, Materials and Design (Elsevier), Biomedical Engineering (Springer), IEEE, Bio Medical, among others. His high-quality publications are well-regarded in peer-reviewed indexed journals.
