Born in Palestine, raised in a small city near Jerusalem; I had selected this seminar topic according to my experience in promoting tourism back at home; I worked with an NGO which its interest was to restore old historical buildings and convert them from an abandoned places to a tourist attractions, which will in return, according to the NGOs managers help improving the economy of Palestine.
On the other hand, other countries - especially those in Europe such as Barcelona and Venice- seems to suffer of tourists and mass tourism, thus, I decided to get involved in this research seminar topic so I can understand the different point of views of those who suffers from tourism in their cities and those who wants more tourists to pass by.
Last but not least, this seminar was such an amazing experience for me, yet a challenging one since working with seven other students can't be easy but we managed to cooperate and overcome all of the obstacles we faced; it comes as no surprise that we all learnt how to look at things from different perspectives and to see a problem in the field from different angles.
