Stephen Hodes is a true tourism expert. Stephen was born in Cape Town (South Africa) and grew up there. He emigrated to the Netherlands at the age of 21. He now lives in Amsterdam.
He founded Amsterdam in Progress in 2016, when he felt like no-one was doing anything against the touristification-induced erosion of the liveability of the city centre. Together with Carla Hoffschulte, Nina Van der Weiden, Wouter van der Wolk and Jos Hageman, he forms the board of Amsterdam in Progress. Stephen Hodes gives many interview to news or media outlets.
