Local comic & toy creator, Michael Chuah which I befriend with during toy designer meetup, has put up an illustration challenge related to his NFT art collection. 

I joined! And yeah it was fun haha I admired his passion, he was so good, humble and full of ideas! 

A character with plants on its head, but my sketch has a medusa-like plants and he is sick of it! Yeah rocking some colorful Nike outfit. 

One of my fav toy designer! All his creations revolved around chicken community! Cute, cool and awesome! 

So I took the DTIYS challenge for fun and supporting custom toy designer friend. 

Maybe one day we can collaborate? hehe

His creations was just sooo awesome! 

He is so good with paper creatures. He even gave out free templates, and produced nice merch especially decals!

Wetworks, never ceased to amazed me with its samurai character. so nice. He also has a cool digital illustration portfolio and collaboration projects across the globe. 

I'm so envy hahaha yeah I gotta learn one or two from him

TBH, Quiccs and his TEQ63 from Philipine is my main inspiration since the beginning of my exploration into Custom Toy design. 

I tend to copy his styles especially the Gundam / Samurai influence and the body posture.

This sketch is just for fun, and I think it looks somewhat different from TEQ63, with my OC Ruzza the Orca flair.

I joined a local toy scene back in 2019/2020 and met with several wonderful toy friends in this community, mainly based in FB page, the MY TOY HOARD. 

From there I make new friends, exchanged knowledge and basically widen my persepctive and network. Kantoy is the OC mascot so the 1st thing I do when I joined the club was sketch DTIYS of it and share to the founder!
