Aamir Khan is an Indian film actor, producer, director, screenwriter, sometimes singer and founder-owner of Aamir Khan Productions. Aamir Khan was seen as a child artist in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) and eleven years later Khan's career began in the film Holi (1984) with his cousin Mansoor Khan in the film Qayamat He got his first commercial success for Qayamat Tak (1988) and won the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award (Filmfare Award for Best Debut Male Artist) for acting in the film. After the last eight nominations, during 1980 and 1990, Khan received the first Filmfare Best Actor Award for Raja Hindustani (1996), which was his biggest commercial success to date.

Aamir Khan was born in Bandra's Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai, India to a Muslim family who had been active in the Indian Mosan picture for decades. His father, Tahir Hussain, was a filmmaker while his late uncle, Nasir Hussain, was a filmmaker as well as a director. Due to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's descent, his roots can be traced to the city of Herat in Afghanistan. He is also the guardian of the former President of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain, and the second nephew of India's Minister for Minority Welfare, Dr. Najma Heptulla.

Aamir Khan came on screen in two roles as a child. At the age of 8, he starred in the musical film Yado Ki Baaraat (1973), directed by Nasir Hussain. In the same year, he played a role in a drunkard made by his father. Khan later went on to receive early education. He started attending Petit School and later he got his education from St. Ann's School in Bandra till 8th standard. And studied 9th and 10th from Mahim's Bombay Scottish School.
Khan had a lot of interest in tennis since childhood, he loved playing tennis. His teachers have always said that Khan's focus is less in studies and more in playing. He got his 12th education from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai. Khan termed his childhood as 'difficult' due to financial troubles. At that time his father was going through a financial meltdown, Khan said that his father used to get about 20-30 calls every day from whom he had borrowed. And Khan was always afraid that he should not be removed from school for not paying any fees.
