AMICIE forums aim to create a collegial, dialogue-based platform for the broader ANU community to explore methodological innovations in interdisciplinarity, collaboration and integrative research.
Research communities are increasingly engaging in complex, interdisciplinary projects and programs. These require collaborative models of research engagement such as transdisciplinary and participatory approaches, which are seen as avenues for ‘enhancing impact’. But how should we design such projects? How do we understand, develop and apply ‘good’ research methodology in this context? How do we develop skills for 'good' inter-disciplinary teamwork and collaborative practice?
Through providing a 1.5-hour monthly space, AMICIE forums will encourage and nurture respectful and inclusive conversation to develop, discuss and dissect the rewards and risks of inter- and trans-disciplinary research and engagement.
