### 2. Information We Access and How It Is Used

#### A. Local Audio and Media Files

- **Permission:** `READ_MEDIA_AUDIO` (Android 13+) / `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` (Legacy Android).

- **Purpose:** Ami Beats scans and indexes local music and audio files on your device to display your library, play songs, organize playlists, and show album artwork.

- **Privacy Guarantee:** Your audio files, metadata, and artwork remain strictly on your physical device. We never upload, transfer, or share your local music files with any external server.

#### B. Online Streaming & Jellyfin Integration

- **Permission:** `INTERNET` and `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`.

- **Purpose:** When you configure a self-hosted Jellyfin media server, the app connects directly to your specified server to stream music and load library metadata.

- **Data Storage:** Your server URL, username, and authentication access token are stored locally and securely on your device using Android's private app storage. These credentials are communicated exclusively with your chosen server and are never sent to or seen by the developer.

#### C. Real-Time Lyrics (LRCLIB API)

- **Purpose:** To provide synchronized karaoke lyrics, Ami Beats queries the public LRCLIB API (`https://lrclib.net`) using track metadata (track title, artist name, and album name).

- **Privacy Guarantee:** Only non-personal song search query terms are sent over secure HTTPS. No device identifiers, IP logs, or user profiles are collected or tied to your requests.

#### D. Foreground Playback & Notifications

- **Permission:** `FOREGROUND_SERVICE`, `FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK`, and `POST_NOTIFICATIONS`.

- **Purpose:** To keep music playing continuously when the screen is turned off or when navigating to other apps, and to display playback controls (Play, Pause, Skip) in your notification bar and lock screen.

#### E. Ringtone Setting (Optional)

- **Permission:** `WRITE_SETTINGS`.

- **Purpose:** Used strictly if and when you explicitly choose the "Set as Ringtone" feature to assign an audio track as your phone ringtone, notification, or alarm tone.

- **No Analytics SDKs:** We do not use Google Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any behavioral tracking libraries.

- **No Advertisements:** Ami Beats does not contain any advertising networks (such as Google AdMob). We do not collect advertising IDs (AAID).

- **No Third-Party Data Sharing:** We do not sell, lease, or share any user data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.
