This Privacy Policy explains how AMG Tech ("we", "us" or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile and desktop applications we publish on the Apple App Store and Mac App Store (each, an "App").
Our products are built on a simple principle: we do not want your data. The Apps are designed so that your content stays on your own device, in your own Apple iCloud account, or is passed directly to a third-party service you have chosen to use. We do not operate servers that store your personal content, we do not build user profiles, we do not run advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
We do not collect, receive, store, or process any of the following:
Your name, email address, postal address, or phone number (unless you choose to email us for support)
Account credentials, passwords, secret keys, seeds, recovery codes, or one-time passcodes
The content of your conversations, prompts, messages, notes, or files
Contacts, photos, calendars, reminders, health data, or financial data
Precise or approximate location data
Advertising identifiers (IDFA), device fingerprints, or cross-app tracking identifiers
Browsing history or activity in other apps
We do not require you to create an account with us to use our Apps, and we do not operate a login system of our own.
Our Apps store their working data locally on your device using Apple's standard protections, including the iOS/macOS sandbox, the file system's data protection classes and, where appropriate, the Apple Keychain and the device Secure Enclave.
This locally stored data may include your app settings and preferences, entries or items you have created inside the App, and any conversation history the App keeps so that you can scroll back through it. This information never leaves your device except through the mechanisms you explicitly enable, described in Sections 3 and 4 below.
Access to sensitive locally stored items may be protected by Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. Biometric data itself is never seen by us or by the App: authentication is performed entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework, which returns only a success or failure result.
Certain Apps offer an optional backup and sync feature so that your data is available across your own Apple devices and can be restored if you replace a device.
Where this feature is offered, the backup is written to your own Apple iCloud account (iCloud Drive, CloudKit private database, and/or iCloud Keychain), not to any server we operate. As a result:
The data is stored under your Apple Account and is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and Apple's Privacy Policy.
We have no access to your iCloud private database and cannot read, export, recover or delete its contents.
If you lose access to your Apple Account or disable iCloud, we cannot recover your backup for you.
The feature is entirely under your control, and you can switch it off in either of two places:
Inside the App - open the App's Settings screen and turn off the iCloud Backup & Sync toggle. The App stops writing to iCloud immediately and continues to work fully with your data stored locally on the device.
In your device settings - go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and turn off iCloud access for the App at the system level.
To remove data that has already been stored, use the delete or reset option in the App's Settings screen, or go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage and delete the App's data there. Because the data lives in your own iCloud account, this deletion is yours to make and takes effect without any involvement from us.
Some Apps also allow you to export an encrypted local backup file that you control entirely. If you choose to store that file in a third-party location, its security becomes subject to that provider's terms.
Certain Apps provide conversational assistance powered by a third-party large language model provider (currently OpenAI). When you send a message in such an App:
Your message, together with any context the App needs to answer it, is transmitted directly from your device to the provider's API over an encrypted connection.
The request does not pass through, and is not logged by, any server of ours.
The provider processes the request and returns a response to your device. The provider's handling of that request is governed by its own privacy policy and API data usage policies, not by this policy.
Please do not include passwords, financial account numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal data in your prompts. Once a message is sent to a third-party provider it is outside our control, and we cannot retrieve or delete it on your behalf.
Where an App allows you to supply your own API key, that key is stored only on your device (in the Keychain where supported) and is transmitted only to the provider it belongs to. We never see it.
All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. We do not operate a payment system and never receive your payment card number, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.
To determine whether a subscription or purchase is active, the App validates the App Store receipt or transaction issued by Apple, using Apple's StoreKit framework and, where applicable, Apple's servers. This process uses anonymous, Apple-issued transaction identifiers that are not linked by us to your identity.
Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymised sales and subscription reports (for example, total units and revenue by territory). These reports do not identify individual customers.
Details on managing, cancelling or requesting a refund for a subscription are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
We do not embed third-party analytics, attribution, or advertising SDKs in our Apps.
Where an App reports crashes or performance metrics, this is done exclusively through Apple's own App Analytics and crash reporting. Apple shares this information with us only if you have opted in on your device under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share With App Developers, and Apple provides it to us in aggregated, non-identifiable form. You can turn this off at any time in that same screen.
Our Apps contain no advertising of any kind, and we collect no data about you. There are no ad banners, no interstitials, no sponsored content, and no advertising or attribution SDKs in our code. Specifically, and consistent with Apple's App Tracking Transparency requirements:
We do not link data collected from our Apps with data from third-party apps, websites, or offline sources for advertising or measurement purposes.
We do not access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and therefore do not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
We do not integrate any advertising network, and we have not implemented advertising in any App we publish.
We do not share data with data brokers, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar laws.
An App will only request a system permission when a feature you have chosen to use requires it, and each request is accompanied by an on-screen explanation. Permissions that may be requested include:
Camera - used solely to scan a QR code or capture an image for a feature you have initiated. The camera feed is processed on device and is never recorded, uploaded, or retained.
Photo library - used only for the specific image you select, through Apple's picker where possible, so the App never gains access to your full library.
Notifications - used for reminders and alerts relating to the App's own features.
Microphone or speech recognition - used only while you are actively dictating, if the App offers voice input.
Files and folders - used only for the files you explicitly open or save.
You may revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device Settings. Some features will stop working, but the App will continue to function otherwise.
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and are not included in the App Store Kids Category. Because we do not collect personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through a support email, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Because we do not hold your data, there is nothing for us to retain. You remain in full control of your information at all times:
Delete data in the App - use the delete or reset options provided in the App's Settings screen.
Stop cloud sync - turn off the iCloud Backup & Sync toggle in the App's Settings screen, as described in Section 3.1.
Delete everything on the device - deleting the App from your device removes its local data, including its Keychain items where the App is configured to clear them.
Delete cloud data - remove the App's iCloud data via Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
Support correspondence - if you have emailed us, write to us and we will delete the correspondence from our mailbox.
We do not create user accounts, so there is no account for you to delete. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel a paid subscription; see our Terms & Conditions for how to cancel through Apple.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, or similar laws, including rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection.
We honour these rights in full. In practice, because we do not collect or hold personal data about you, a request for access, portability or deletion will usually be answered by confirming that we hold no personal data relating to you. For data held in your iCloud account or by a third-party AI provider, please exercise your rights directly with Apple or with that provider, whose policies govern that data. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
All network requests made by our Apps use TLS encryption and Apple App Transport Security. Sensitive material is stored using the Apple Keychain and hardware-backed encryption where the device supports it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but by keeping your data on your device and out of our hands, we remove the single largest source of risk.
We do not transfer your personal data internationally, because we do not collect it. Where an App communicates with a third-party AI provider or with Apple iCloud, data may be processed on servers located outside your country under those companies' own safeguards and transfer mechanisms.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our Apps, to third-party services, or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App. Continued use of an App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
