Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D) is forcing a procedural vote on the incomplete infrastructure bill that was still undergoing negotiations between Democrats and Republicans in the Senate.

The infrastructure bill has already seen immense compromise from the state it first came into the House, but Republicans still want to see more compromise citing it as a partisan bill.

The procedural vote set in forth by Schumer could stall negotiations and Republicans are likely to vote against proceeding to debate.

The Democrats need at least 10 Republicans and all 50 Democrats to vote to allow the debate process to begin; which seems futile as all Senate Republicans seem immensely reluctant to stop negotiations at such a rushed pace.
