General Election: A final election for a political office with a limited list of candidates. The candidates in the general election are those who won their party’s primary election. General elections happen at the local, state, and national level.
Online - must be completed by Friday, October 23, 2020.
By Mail – Mail-In Voter Registration Form (download PDF or form to complete online and print ). Must be received by Friday, October 23, 2020 by 5:00 pm.
In-person Same-Day Voter Registration - must have valid form of I.D.
Automatic Voter Registration – Utah does not automatically register Utah residents to vote. Verify your registration status here. 16-17 year-olds may pre-register to vote and will automatically be sent a ballot when they officially become eligible to vote.
MAIL-IN VOTING
Due to COVID-19, voters are encouraged to vote by mail and avoid lines during early voting or on Election Day. Find out more and request your ballot.

IMPORTANT DATES
October 13 Ballots are mailed out to all active registered voters.
October 23, 5pm Last day to register to vote in-person or online. Mail-in Registration must be received by this date. All registration forms must be received by 5:00 pm.
October 28-30, Nov 2 Early Voting at 100 East Center Street, Suite 3100, Provo, Utah 84606 or additional locations. Same-Day Voting Registration available at these sites (2 forms of ID required).
October 27 Last day Mail-in Ballots are sent out. If you do not receive a ballot shortly after this time, immediately contact your county's clerk office.
November 2 Mail-in Ballots must be postmarked on or before this day.
November 3 General Election. Ballots must be dropped off before 8:00 pm. Same-Day Voting Registration available (2 forms of ID required).

Snopes - The layman's fact-checking site.
Newsguard -Browser extension that provides an easy way to evaluate websites. “Green-Red ratings compiled by a team of trained journalists signal if a website is trying to get it right, has a hidden agenda, or knowingly publishes falsehoods or propaganda.”

Federal Voting Assistance Program – Federal voting assistance for service members, their families, and overseas citizens. Provides access to election officials and voting assistance officers to help navigate the absentee voting process.

BestColleges.com Student Voting Guide – A nonpartisan guide designed for college students. Includes a bipartisan key issues guide and voter registration information for each state.
ProCon.org – Pros and Cons of Current Issues – Feeling overwhelmed by all the issues being debated during the 2020 Presidential Election? Start here! ProCon.org is a nonprofit nonpartisan public charity that use professional researchers and rigorous editorial standards.
Project Vote Smart – A nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization that collects and distributes information on candidates for public office.
TurboVote – A tool that makes voting easy by sending text or email messages verifying voter registration status, reminders about important election deadlines, and polling place location. Developed by the nonpartisan group Democracy Works.
