My specific focus has been childhood education and outreach to the general public. Throughout midde and high school and during some times in college, I worked at the Eli Whitney Musuem in Hamden, CT which taught kids science and engineering projects through hands on activites. I redesigned a project I had made as a student on a field trip during my time there. This foundational expereince has been key to informing how I view the value of teaching and getting kids excited about science.
