Why Heritage Craft workshops make the perfect team‑building experience:
Heritage crafts create a calm, reflective environment where teams can slow down together.
Kintsugi offers a powerful metaphor for resilience — repairing breaks with gold mirrors how teams grow through challenges.
Gilding encourages patience, focus, and shared pride in creating something beautiful as a group.
Hands‑on making helps people connect in a grounded, meaningful way beyond typical team‑building activities.
These workshops foster a sense of collective rebuilding, renewal, and growth.
Amelia delivered a Kintsugi workshop at Storrs Hall Hotel for 17 of our Executive Committee members. The workshop was so beautifully delivered by Amelia. She had everything set up and ready for us, without giving too much away so our team were both intrigued and excited. Amelia then explained what we were doing making the philosophy behind Kintsugi relevant to our business and our reason for participating in that particular workshop. She then talked us through every step with care, professionalism and humour. We had such a wonderful experience and walked away with some beautiful bowls at the end. A memorable team event that I would highly recommend! We would certainly reach out to Amelia again for future workshops.
We host a Conference every two years for our families who are living with a rare condition. We decided this year, to give our families some relaxation and connection time.
Kintsugi has always resonated with our community as a metaphor for life, and Amelia was a delight to work with. She set a calming environment for us - it’s the small details which make the difference.
The families thoroughly enjoyed it and found it freeing to be able to talk openly and honestly over crafting, it gave everyone a shared moment. It was such a powerful yet gentle way to give our families something to connect over.
We were delighted with the results, and also the feedback from the families.
We are looking forward to welcoming Amelia back to our next event and would recommend this to anyone without hesitation.
The Kintsugi workshop Amelia provided was professional, friendly and extremely well organised. She was clear in her instruction and we all thoroughly enjoyed the process of mending either our own pieces of ceramic, or those she provided.
I can't recommend her highly enough.
