Mask Redo series

This series is an ongoing series in which I acquire cheap masks and transform them into inspired masks or give them a completely new look. This series uses various materials but mostly consists of acrylic paints.

Bioshock Splicer

Black Bunny girl mask from 99 cent store. Used yellow, white, antique white, gold, and pale grey for the colors and scissors & soldering iron for the details

Venetian Volto Butterfly

A cheap half mask from 99 covered in red glitter. I went for an inspired Volto mask in the theme of a monarch butterfly. Using sand paper to remove glitter, coarse molding paste for a plaster texture, and acrylics paints for color.

Hawk Goddess

This was my first mask redo. Originally a mask from the 99 cent store and was all black. Went in with dolphin grey (a pale cool grey) then added golden color to the tips.

Styrofoam Brick pattern

Faux Bricks made from a Styrofoam cube, using a soldiering iron for the indentation and acrylic paint for the color. Using the dry brush method for weathering and details
