This series is an ongoing series in which I acquire cheap masks and transform them into inspired masks or give them a completely new look. This series uses various materials but mostly consists of acrylic paints.

A cheap half mask from 99 covered in red glitter. I went for an inspired Volto mask in the theme of a monarch butterfly. Using sand paper to remove glitter, coarse molding paste for a plaster texture, and acrylics paints for color.

This was my first mask redo. Originally a mask from the 99 cent store and was all black. Went in with dolphin grey (a pale cool grey) then added golden color to the tips.
