The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), provides world-class performing arts training with programs in Acting, Music Theatre, Dance Theatre, and Performing Arts. With campuses in NY and LA, AMDA offers opportunities for students to define their personal objectives and to develop and refine their own distinctive artistic voices.

Through Co-Presidents David Martin and Jan Martin's singular devotion and passionate leadership, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy is at the forefront of performing arts higher education. At AMDA, students experience world-renowned performing arts training in the entertainment capitals of New York and Los Angeles, with programs in Acting, Music Theatre, Dance Theatre, and Performing Arts. In New York City, AMDA offers two-year Certificate programs. The Los Angeles campus offers four Bachelor of Fine Arts programs and three Associates of Occupational Studies programs. One of AMDA’s exclusive opportunities for its more than 1400 students is the Artist’s Laboratory, which provides them with the creative space to develop and perform original content for stage, media, and film in a faculty-mentored setting. Another cutting-edge program created by AMDA is the BFA in Dance Theatre, which is the only one of its kind focusing on a combination of theatre dance and dance for film and television.

Some of AMDA's notable alumni are Christopher Jackson (original cast of Hamilton on Broadway), Anthony Ramos (original cast of Hamilton on Broadway), Caissie Levy (currently originating the role of Elsa in Frozen on Broadway), Jason Derulo (Billboard Top 10 Singer/Songwriter), Jeremy Pope (cast of Choir Boy and Ain't Too Proud on Broadway), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family on ABC), as well as industry titans Tyne Daly and Paul Sorvino. AMDA alumni are also active in every other area of the entertainment industry, including technical theatre, film/TV crews, playwriting, screenwriting, filmmaking, producing, directing, choreographing, editing, teaching, and content development.

The world-class faculty at AMDA consists of industry professionals, who are currently working in the field. Students train with successful Broadway directors, choreographers, actors, film directors, TV producers and casting agents who are still active in the entertainment industry. Students experience a rigorous and demanding curriculum, aimed at providing the knowledge and skill set to stage successful careers in the global industry of the performing arts.
