MARCH 21, 2025 UPDATE
2025-26 PAINTED PARKING INFO (this was emailed to parents from Consol Parking but unfortunately it went to spam for some). MORE DETAILED INFO (dates, etc) WAS SENT ON SCHOOLOGY.
Dear Students and Parents,
We are thrilled that the long-anticipated remodel and expansion of our school campus is officially underway! While there will be some changes to the registration process for painted parking spots this year, we’re confident these updates will help make our school even better in the long run.
As part of the construction, some parking spots in the main lot (Rows A-E) are no longer available, and starting next school year, those spots as well as a portion of the tennis lot will no longer be available as they will be assigned to coaches. The good news is that we’ve gained new spots in the main lot, which will be available for students to reserve next year. Unfortunately, since we will be losing about 65 total spots, legacy spots will not be offered to siblings of seniors as has been done in past years. We look forward to the option to reintroduce legacy spots again once the construction is complete.
Additionally, we’ve decided to stop painting a white base for new spots. Your student will be able to paint their own base color . This will prevent the buildup of layers of paint, which has led to peeling and chipping, and will also allow the PTO to allocate funds more effectively to support other initiatives that directly benefit our students and teachers.
Due to the high demand for parking spots last year, only 8 spots remained when the 9th-grade class was eligible to purchase theirs last school year. As a result, moving forward, parking spots will be available exclusively to current 10th and 11th grade students.
Finally, due to the construction and changes of parking spots, we want to ensure that students who have lost their current spot are prioritized. These students will be able to select a new spot during the renewal week. If your child’s spot is not affected by the construction and they would like to change spots, we kindly ask that they do so during their class year’s registration week.
We understand this is a lot of information, and we appreciate your patience as we work through these changes. These adjustments will help us navigate the construction process and ensure our campus continues to grow and improve. We’re excited to see the positive changes that will make A&M Consolidated even better for everyone!
