Biography

Dr. Ambuj Kumar Gautam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. His research centers on advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques, with particular emphasis on the design and development of electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATs), guided wave propagation, and structural integrity evaluation of critical engineering components. His broader research interests include non-destructive testing (NDT) robotics and automation, such as autonomous pipeline health-monitoring systems and wall-climbing inspection robots. In addition, he is actively engaged in strain- and gas-sensing research using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) technology for high-sensitivity measurement applications.
