Het begin ........
Na mijn vroeg pensionering in 2004 ben ik begonnen met digitale fotografie in historische steden, gecombineerd met digitale fotobewerking. Deze hobby is uit de hand gelopen. Benieuwd hoe? Kijk op www.microtoerisme.nl
Van een 'gewone' foto naar een 'bijzonder' plaatje.
Inmiddels heb ik meer dan 80.000 foto's bewerkt met behulp van het programma PaintShopPro. Ik vind het een uitdaging om van gewone foto's bijzondere plaatjes te maken. Bijzondere plaatjes die op het snijvlak verkeren van een gewone foto - een tekening - een schilderij.
Via 'trial & error' heb ik een methode ontdekt om dat op een relatief eenvoudige manier tot stand te brengen. Die methode heb ik 'ambrotype gefilterde foto' genoemd.
Benodigd.
Ik gebruik al vanaf 2002 het fotobewerkingsprogramma PaintShopPro (PSP). Maar ook andere fotobewerkingsprogramma's zijn geschikt. Als ze maar de mogelijkheid hebben om insteekfilters te gebruiken. Bijvoorbeeld Photoshop.
Voor de ambrotype gefilterde foto's gebruik ik van de NIK collectie de insteekfilters ColorEffexPro en SilverEffexPro. Enkele jaren geleden was de complete NIK collectie gratis te downloaden. Nu niet meer.

From an 'average' photo to a 'special' picture.
I've now edited over 80,000 photos using the PaintShopPro program. I find it a challenge to create special pictures from ordinary photos. Special pictures that are on the cutting edge of a normal photo - a drawing - a painting.
Through trial & error I discovered a method to achieve this in a relatively simple way. I've called that method 'ambrotype filtered photo'.
Necessities.
I've been using the photo editing program PaintShopPro (PSP) from 2002. But other photo editing programs are also suitable. As long as they have the option to use plugins. For example Photoshop.
For the ambrotype filtered photo's I use the plug-in filters ColorEffexPro and SilverEffexPro from the NIK collection. A few years ago, the complete NIK collection was available for free download. Not anymore.
