Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor (tenured) at the Department of Economics, Econometrics and Finance, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics and Finance (European Label) from the University of Rome, "Tor Vergata."
My main research field is Finance, with a focus on Empirical Asset Pricing. Specifically, I study whether and to what extent firms' ESG characteristics are priced in their stock and bond prices, and how institutional investors (e.g., mutual funds) incorporate ESG characteristics into their portfolio allocations. In recent years, I have developed an interest in the dynamics behind institutional investors' portfolio allocation. I'm currently zooming in on how climate risk concerns may reshape such portfolio allocation. Finally, I have also developed an interest in the intersection between public procurement and finance with a focus on Green Public Procurement (GPP). That is, if and to what extent, governments may support the green transition through the award of GPP contracts.
I teach and coordinate three bachelor's courses: Finance for Econometrics and Operations Research, Empirical Research Paper for Economics and Business Economics, and Intermediate Asset Pricing. I also teach the master's course in Sustainable Finance and Investing. I also supervise bachelor's and master's students for their theses. As well as PhD students..
