Travel

Ambleside is in the heart of the Lake District National Park. The nearest train station is at Windermere, which is connected with Ambleside by regular bus services. The most convenient large airport is Manchester International Airport, from which it is generally possible to get to Ambleside by public transport within 3 hours.

There is parking available on campus, including next to Fell Court. If you require a parking permit, then please contact Helen Wright at helen.wright@cumbria.ac.uk. This is important if you are attending by car as alternative parking is limited.
