Planet Paws
Planet Paws
Planet Paws is my best work to date, and it represents my evolution as an entrepreneur. I invested countless hours of research, collaboration, and work, which helped me to push beyond my comfort zone and discover my strengths. I also learned to think creatively and critically and to identify when to lean on my mentors and be open-minded when receiving feedback. The process of creating Planet Paws taught me how to integrate my passions, such as dogs and creativity, with my skills, such as empathy and communication, to create value for myself and others.
The Journey
From idea to hosting community events and selling product, this adventure has been an incredible learning experience.

Fundraising: Pitch Competition & Story Telling Experience
Here I learned my love for storytelling and passion for sharing ideas. Over the course of a few months I was able to monetize my idea, generating a couple thousand dollars that would then fund the production of my first products.

Product Phase: Design and Manufacturing Experience
After doing extensive research and talking to many puppy parents, I sketched up design concepts for our first product. Working with manufactures in China and Colombia, the first products for Planet Paws were brought to life.
Worked with manufactures in China to create samples of the harness you see in the pitch deck above.
Worked with manufactures in Colombia to get my designs made, using funds awarded from placing at Pitch Competitions.
Building Community: Marketing, Experience Design, & Hosting Experience
This was by far the highlight of this entire business endeavor. From the prep of putting up flyers at all the dog parks in Miami (big and small), managing invitations and promoting it on social media, to hosting my first event live with over 50 pups and their parents! I learned just how dedicated and passionate parents are about their pups...and I LOVED IT!
Launching Product: Marketing & Selling Experience
There is nothing cooler than holding your own idea, physically, in hand. This part of my journey amazed me, the drawings I'd created on paper, then shared with manufactures in another country, were built and shipped to my door. No Amazon needed... for any of it! 🤯
