Now, let’s get started with today’s discussion on Amazon on-site commissions.
It’s crucial to distinguish between on-site and off-site commissions within the Amazon Influencer Program.
Off-site commissions involve driving traffic from external sources to your Amazon storefront or affiliate links. This traffic originates from sources like blogs, Pinterest, or social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Anyone approved for the Amazon Influencer Program can earn off-site commissions.
On-site commissions, to earn these, you need a separate approval process within the Amazon Influencer Program. If you check your Amazon Creator Hub and see a blue lock symbol, it means you aren’t approved for on-site commissions.
It’s essential to understand this distinction before moving forward.
Once you’re approved for on-site commissions, you can create shoppable videos and photos showcasing featured products on Amazon.
The “on-site” part means Amazon can promote these videos in various places on their platform, eliminating the need for you to drive traffic to them. These videos could appear on product pages, with placement locations varying. Keep in mind that Amazon decides where and how your videos are displayed, so competition and earnings can fluctuate.
Amazon on-site commissions offer a fantastic opportunity because Amazon handles the traffic for your videos.
However, it’s wise not to rely solely on on-site commissions, as it’s still essential to build your off-site traffic sources.
When reviewing your earnings reports in Associates Central, remember that Amazon separates off-site and on-site earnings.
It’s crucial to select the correct store ID to view your earnings accurately. Selecting the wrong store ID could lead to confusion, especially if you’re earning from on-site commissions.
If you aren’t approved for on-site commissions, you can start the approval process by adding three shoppable videos to your storefront.
These three videos will undergo a review by Amazon. If you get denied, don’t be discouraged; you have three chances. You can delete the videos, create three new ones featuring different products, and repeat the process. Your account will automatically go through the review process again.
This process can be attempted up to three times to secure approval for on-site commissions.
