On February 17, 2021, WarnerMedia announced that a television film was in development under the working title The Amazing World of Gumball Movie.[12][82] On September 21, 2021, Cartoon Network announced that the upcoming film had been greenlit under the title The Amazing World of Gumball: The Movie!, with original series creator Ben Bocquelet serving as director and executive producer.[83] The film would focus on Gumball's biggest fan finding a missing episode from the television show and accidentally opening a portal that connects Gumball's cartoon world to his own. So, I was just watching an episode of The Amazing World Of Gumball and I saw Gumball using a Super Nintendo controller and I also heard the Gameboy startup sound before that I saw a 16-bit world with Darwin with wings. Or my other theory is they're too poor to buy a newer console. That's all my real evidence and if you want to disprove it or anything, please do.

When I compiled The 10 Best Children's Animated Series Of The [Last] Decade, I had zero hesitation deciding on "The Amazing World of Gumball," which ran from 2011 to 2019 on Cartoon Network for six seasons, for its visual eclecticism and comedic minefield. The brainchild of creator Ben Bocquelet, the cartoon revolves around the exploits of the 12-year-old anthropomorphic cat Gumball Watterson and his brother Darwin Watterson (an adopted sibling who originated as a pet goldfish who grew legs). Their environment of Elmore is a wonderland of different mediums. Living in real-life photo-based environments, the 2D Watterson family interact and clash with a medium-blended world: characters comprised of CGI, flash animation, puppetry, or stop-motion. It brandished an out-there aesthetic that made it a companion to its zany contemporaries like "Adventure Time" and "Regular Show."
In season 4's "The Slap," Gumball wants a butt slap from Tobias so bad that he will do anything in the world to make it happen. The entire episode did nothing but have Gumball attempt to find the best way to get that slap, no matter how ridiculous or humiliating. It is Gumball's never-say-die attitude and the lengths he's perpared to go that makes "The Slap" so engrossing. When Gumball starts singing "My Lonely Backside and I," it becomes a masterpiece, and it's easy to see why it's considered by many to be among the best The Amazing World of Gumball episodes.
In The Amazing World of Gumball's season four finale, "The Disaster," Gumball's life is slowly ruined by his nemesis Rob, who's discovered a universal remote that can control their world. However, it left viewers with an exciting cliffhanger, and isn't complete without that second half. The conclusion picks up in the season 5 premiere, but "The Disaster" is definitely the more action-packed of the two. What makes this among the best Gumball episodes is the sheer amount of conflict that is packed in. The dissolution of Gumball's parents' relationship is both hysterical and complicated, mixing in some adult themes with the bombastic humor.
A round of Gumball and Darwin's homemade board game "Dodj or Daar" goes awry in season 2's "The Game," one of the series' most bizarre episodes, but one of the best Amazing World of Gumball episodes. The Jumanji-like situation the family finds themselves in makes for excellent comedy, and the writers aren't afraid to think outside the box with the wild dares Gumball and Darwin put in the game. It's one of many episodes in the series that takes clear inspiration from other media. The writers' ingenuity and nods to other programs work incredibly well in the world of Gumball, which is why this is one of the best installments.
