It’s been a long journey to get back to the present moment that holds who I am in the very core of my being. Literally & metaphorically, high and low mountains were trekked. Uncharted territories explored. Unlikely encounters made. I’ve been in so many places, organizations, groups, and situations looking for answers. I found lessons & wisdom in many. But really, my greatest gem is the wisdom I found Within Me. My sacred design, created by the universe, who knows how to dance with the ebb & flow, how to love in the light & darkness, and how to stay centered & discerning in the midst of chaos and illusions, is constantly emerging and expressing itself every moment. This has allowed me to blossom in my life according to my own truth and soul’s calling, sparkling in the dim night sky of life. Here's why I am compelled to share this blossoming process with you,
I grew up in the islands of the Philippines, islands of many broken spirits and lost souls, both living and dead. Hundreds of years of colonial conquest and foreign occupation almost erased the richness of my roots. My original name is Niña, which means "little girl" in Spanish, a foreign language to my ancestors. Little did I know that as a little girl, my purity will be buried in deep heavy trauma and conditioning of the world. One day, this little girl came home from the salon with a new hair cut. As she was close to entering their somewhat rusty home gate, she felt an overwhelming sense of sadness within her & her body as she realized she needs to look and be a certain way to be Loved.
Her sadness and depression grew & grew as time went by. Her lowest point arrived when she thought of ending her life. But as she was soaked in her own buckets of tears, she felt an angelic presence touching her face. She stopped and saw a vision of a beautiful life. Little did she know, that was the start of her blossoming.
Her pains & suffering enriched the fertile soil for growth & emergence. She started to listen, open up, and take the steps to nurture her life. She embarked on the journey of self-uncovering, remembering, healing, and blossoming. And with her blossoming, so did the land and lineage of her ancestors. Now as Amaya Tala, the night rain star, my life has drastically blossomed! And I enjoy the harvests and continuous nurturing. This is what I'd like to share with you! I also want to see you blossom! 🌺

I was lacking clarity on the path towards reaching the goal. I was constantly thinking on how to achieve the goal, exploring them one by one until I find something that suits the need. There was also doubts on the path to move forward when I find one.
The coaching process with Amaya was easy and feels natural as the conversation started. We started exploring ways that I can take to achieve a goal. She also reinforces my ideas while striking a balance on providing constructive criticism.

(Referring to a YouTube video) Greetings from Turkey! I really liked this video! Please continue to make more of these I'm a lightworker and agree with what you just said. I'm a teacher at a big school, so I'm constantly surrounded by students and teachers. At times, I feel my energy needs cleansing as I'm an empath and absorb people's energies. Whenever I feel "not myself", I try to do some energy work and feel so much better afterwards. What type of techniques do you use to clear your energy field? That could make a great video too.

(Referring to a YouTube video) Hi Amaya, your words resonate with me. For so many years I thought it was my purpose to save people. But I have learned that trying to save someone is actually interfering with what their soul is choosing to experience. It is also, unfortunately, a way of creating karma for ourselves without realizing it because each person should be able to exercise their free will. So as I stepped back and really thought about it I realized that my purpose is not to try to "save"...but to give love and support to the people who are struggling without getting involved. As Lightworkers we are here to " bring light". That is our only job. We have the ability to send love and light without being present.

It’s not every day you get to have lunch with a shaman and a life healer/coach. The universe really brings people into your lives with such divine timing.
Mamerto “Lagitan” Tindongan is from the Ifugao tribe in the Northern Philippines. He is an 8th generation Mumbaki (shaman/healer). He was initiated into the Baki Ifugao role by his father in 2011, though he grew up with the tradition since childhood. Baki is Ifugao’s spirituality, which is a way of relating with nature spirits, deities, and ancestors.
Amaya Tala is also healer and certified life coach who is passionate about addressing the individual, relational, societal, and environmental root aspects of societal change, renewal, and humaneness. She co-facilitates and co-organizes sacred circles for self-healing, ancestral connection, land immersion, and universal alignment, rhythm, and flow.
Many around me don’t know the personal battles I’ve been fighting this last year. When we say we want to break intergenerational trauma, we often don’t realize the road ahead can be so heavy, lonely, and painful.
In true Filipino spirit, we originally had plans to go eat. With conversation, it lead to a quick excursion to Griffith Park, where both Lagitan and Amaya held space for me in ceremony. I am eternally grateful for the universe continuing to guide me and bring people into my path who align with my spirit.
