Cognition  Counselling by Amaya

Counselling is a process in which you are given the space and time to explore how you feel about an issue and how it is affecting your behaviour or life. A counsellor can then help you look at different options or avenues on how to minimize the effects of this on you.

Based in Brisbane Australian, appointments can be booked via the Appointment tab above. Text 0426 817 310 or email for enquiries:  cognitioncounsellingservices@gmail.com

Counselling

The majority of our counselling services are provided online which means that you get to stay in the comfort of your own home, don't have to worry about finding a park or need extra time for travel.  It is possible to book a face to face consultation in the appointment tab. If you would prefer an online appointment in a face to face time slot, please advise via email so that it can be arranged for you.  Upon booking an online appointment, you will be sent an email with a goggle meets link for your scheduled appointment and a client intake form.

Amaya has the clinical training and experience to treat a wide range of mental health concerns and diagnoses in adolescents and adults. Some of these include:

Initial Session

Initial sessions consist of a thorough overview of your mental health history and any other relevant information regarding your journey. This session also gives you an opportunity to make sure that Amaya is the right therapist for you, and to discuss your collaborative treatment plan moving forward.

Depending on your therapeutic needs, some therapeutic techniques or strategies may be provided or discussed during the initial session.

Subsequent Sessions

Subsequent sessions are planned and tailored to your individual circumstances and needs. Sessions are based upon your collaborative goals and treatment plan, in addition to any immediate concerns you may have at the time of your appointment.

Privacy Policy

All client records and personal information are kept confidential and secure. Communication or correspondence to other health professionals only occurs with client knowledge and consent. Referrals
