DETAILS:
Welcome Entrepreneurs! It is time to put your innovation and creativity skills to the test. You're tasked to find a company of your choice and create one new product, or a line of products, that would benefit the company and create large revenue streams. When creating the deliverables, your pitches should be narrated towards the company which you are pitching your idea to. If chosen as a finalist, you will be presenting during the final ceremony on October 25th in the main Zoom room. You are required to discuss the following in your deliverables and presentations:
Executive Summary - Provide a company overview, discuss WHY the company and product(s) was chosen, and provide relevant details for your invention and what is going to be discussed
Situational Analysis - SWOT analysis identifying what the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are for your invention, along with an explanation of results
Marketing Mix - Product, Place, Price and Promotions must be analyzed and explained
While the items above are essential for your deliverables, adding other sections are encouraged.
Each team may have UP TO 3 students maximum.
ELIGIBILITY:
Everyone is eligible to compete, regardless of status in education or otherwise
Only those who have purchased a ticket by October 2nd and have indicated that they were interested in competing in a competition are eligible to compete
Incomplete submissions will not be accepted
DELIVERABLES:
Round One:
3-6 page marketing plan, single spaced
Marketing plan must include a cover page (NOT included in page count) with team name, school (if applicable) and ALL team members
Table of contents and appendix are optional, yet recommended (NOT included in page count)
*Note: Each extra page past page limit is an automatic 0.5 pt deduction (This excludes the optional items mentioned above)
Semi-finals:
You will be notified if you have been chosen as a semi-finalist
No further action is necessary
Final Round (If chosen as a finalist):
8 - 10 minute presentation via Zoom, with an additional 3-5 minute Q&A session with moderators and audience
Slide deck is required
Audience votes for the winning invention
*Note: If the minimum time limit is not reached, 3 votes will be deducted automatically
IMPORTANT COMPETITION TIMELINE:
October 22 11:59 PM: Deliverables
October 23: 2 Finalists are announced
October 25: Finalists present during the conference and winners are chosen by the audience
