Deep Learning Theory

Deep Learning is an emerging research field today. But a mathematical understanding of many aspects in this regard is still lacking. I want to understand in depth why neural networks are such a good function approximator or 'Does a net uncover meaningful structure in a data set, or merely by heart things' or why nets are so good at learning noise and real information simultaneously at the same setting

Research Projects

  1. Building Theoretical Explanations and Proofs for Deep Learning and Deep Neural Networks(Ongoing)

  • Collaborating with Dr. Anirbit Mukherjee, Assistant Professor at the University of Manchester, UK

  • Focused on understanding the underlying math of deep learning and deep neural networks to improve the existing techniques. (finding the lower bound of the loss function of deep-operator network)

  1. Review : A Universal Law of Robustness via Isoperimetry

  • Collaborating with Dr. Anirbit Mukherjee, Assistant Professor at the University of Manchester, UK

  • We have rewritten all the proofs with a more detailed explanation.
