আমার খরচ (My Expense) ("the app", "we", "our") is an offline personal finance app for tracking income, expenses, savings, and loans. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app uses, how it's stored, and what — if anything — leaves your device.

1. How your data is stored

All the financial information you enter (transactions, categories, budgets, loan records, savings goals) is stored locally on your device, in a local database (SQLite) and local app preferences. Your data is never uploaded to, or processed by, any server that we operate. We simply have no access to it.

This means:

• We cannot see your income, expenses, balances, or who you owe or are owed money by.

• Your data stays on your phone unless you personally choose to export, share, or back it up elsewhere.

• Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, permanently deletes your data. We cannot recover it, because we never had a copy.

2. Permissions the app uses, and why

Microphone

To let you add transactions by speaking in Bangla or English (voice entry). Speech is converted to text using your device's/operating system's built-in speech recognition service (see Section 3) and is not stored or sent to us.

Camera / Photos / Storage

To let you attach a photo of a receipt to a transaction, and to save/restore CSV or JSON backup files you create. These files stay on your device unless you share them yourself.

Notifications

To show local reminders and budget alerts (e.g. "you're near your monthly limit"). These are generated and shown entirely on your device.

We only request the permissions needed for the features you use, and none of them are used to identify or track you.

3. Third-party services

Because some features rely on services built into your phone or offered as an optional convenience, a few things are worth being upfront about:

• Voice-to-text: Voice entry uses your device's native speech recognition (e.g. Android's on-device or Google-provided speech service). Depending on your device and OS settings, this processing may happen on-device or may be handled by your device manufacturer's/OS provider's speech service, subject to their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your voice recordings.

• Optional Google Drive backup: If you choose to back up your data to Google Drive, that backup is uploaded directly from your device to your own Google account using Google's APIs — not to any server we control. This is entirely optional and only happens if you turn it on. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

• Advertising (free tier only): The free version of the app may show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as an advertising ID), general device information, and ad interaction data to show and measure ads. We do not control what AdMob collects; see Google's AdMob privacy information for details. Users who purchase the Pro (ad-free) unlock do not see ads and are not subject to AdMob data collection.

We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share your financial records with any third party, because that data never reaches us.

4. Data security

Since your financial data never leaves your device (except through backup or ad-SDK data as described above), its security largely depends on your device's own security (screen lock, OS updates, etc.). We recommend keeping your device secured and backing up your data periodically using the app's export feature.

5. Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and no financial data of any user — child or adult — is transmitted to or stored on our servers, since we don't operate any.

6. Your choices and control

• You can export or delete your data at any time from within the app.

• You can disable microphone, camera, or notification permissions at any time in your device settings; the related features will simply be unavailable.

• You can uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally, for example if new features (like cloud sync) are added. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
